About the Renal Outpatient Clinic

The Renal Outpatient Clinic “Evangelismos” provides services related to the prevention, diagnostic approach and treatment of all kidney diseases and their systemic complications.

The clinic assesses and monitors patients with renal failure, hypertensive and diabetic nephropathy, cardiorenal syndrome, glomerulopathies (kidney biopsy possible), nephropathies of autoimmune diseases, hereditary nephropathies, water and electrolyte disorders, albuminuria, hematuria, nephrolithiasis, urinary tract infections, kidney transplantation and prepares patients for hemodialysis initiation. Appointments must be made for the provision of assessments.

Nephrologist in charge of Renal Outpatient Clinic,
Dr. Charalampos N. Loutradis.

The nephrologist in charge of the Renal Outpatient Clinic “Evangelismos” Dr. Charalampos N. Loutradis, has graduated from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and has completed his residency in Nephrology at the Nephrology department of the General Hospital of Thessaloniki “Hippokration”. He has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Research Methodology from the AUTh. He conducted his Ph.D. thesis at the AUTh on the management of fluid overload, blood pressure and cardiovascular complications in dialysis patients and received the title of Doctorate in 2019 with distinction.

He completed his postgraduate training in Clinical and Interventional Nephrology at the Department of Renal Medicine, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, University Hospitals of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. He has been trained in conducting lung ultrasound by the European Renal Association (ERA-EDTA) and in the management of Diabetic and Hypertensive Nephropathy and has extensive experience in performing ultrasound in related organs of nephrology (such as kidneys, vessels, etc.) for diagnostic and interventional purposes.
